We feature the one and only “Blueberry Prawns” star couple Kerry and Cathy McDonald. This beautiful couple of hard workers own and run Avalon Blueberry Farm in Port Alberni British Columbia Canada where the land is rich with farming heritage. They have great news:
Hi Friends and neighbors! It’s time for our annual Blueberry order reminder. Once again, another beautiful crop of Organic Blueberries is ripening in the fields. The Blueberry plants continue to amaze us with their lush growth and abundant berries again this year. We expect to have Berries ready for pick-up (or delivery) starting in the next three weeks. Here’s how to order:

There is a 20 lb. minimum for pre-ordering (if you want less, come on down to the farm and enjoy any amount from 1/2 Pint to 20 lbs!) Last year we sold out, and had a waitlist, so do put your orders in soon!! Prices remain the same as last year.

Avalon Farm Blueberries are Certified Organic with the Island Organic Producers Association. (IOPA #1923)
We have always grown 100% naturally, using a mix of compost and nutrients from nature to fertilize; hand-weeding, and picking off pests that congregate on the berry plants, as well as picking up fallen berries to avoid fungal disease! They are delicious, and lots of customers tell us they are the best tasting blueberries they’ve ever had…
