“Fabriano Italy Morning Walk” by Peggy Burkosky
I will never tire of painting this unforgettable “City of Paper” in Fabriano Italy. The icing on the cake today is receiving 1st Place in the 2016 summer juried show of the Federation of Canadian Artists Arrowsmith Chapter. FabrianoInAcquarello is the annual International Convention dedicated to watercolour on paper techniques recognized by the International Watercolor Society and organised with the support of the G. Fedrigoni Foundation, the European Institute of the History of Paper and Paper Sciences ISTOCARTA with the technical support of FABRIANO. Typically well over 700 watercolours from 40 countries world-wide are selected and set up in an exhibition in the historic town centre. A huge group painting event takes place where everyone can take part, animating the three days for enthusiasts and the curious, together with live demos of master water-colourists, master paper-making craftsmen at work and guided tours.
