This piece was begun en plein air in the streets of Fabriano Italy during the Fabriano in Aquarello 2015 Art Exposition. I was recently invited as a Canadian watercolorist to participate in this annual International event held in Fabriano Italy, the historical paper-making mill town that to this day provides the world with classic handmade cotton rag papers. In this mid-northern Marche region of Italy, the FabrianoinAquarello event hosts professional water colorists from nearly 40 countries with master classes and demos held throughout 4 days.
