The alarm clock jerks me out of the warmth of sleep at the time when the first light is pale in the sky. The anchor is down in a snug little harbor about as far North as you can go on the BC coast. It's clear this morning and chilly in the little wheelhouse, even though it's summer here. I turn up the stove and start coffee, then twist the starter. |
